Cloudflare domain setup guides
A domain is your website’s address. DNS connects that address to your website and email services. Cloudflare can manage both domain registration and DNS, or just DNS while your domain stays registered elsewhere.
Choose your setup
- Register a new domain with Cloudflare.
- Move an existing domain’s DNS to Cloudflare, keeping the registration and email service.
- Invite a developer to your Cloudflare account with the permissions they need.
These guides are designed for self-service setup. Keep the account in your own name and invite collaborators separately. You don’t need to share your password.
Already using Cloudflare DNS? Start with the access guide if someone else will deploy or maintain your website.
Building a website with me?
You can prepare the domain while I build. Send me the domain name once it’s ready; I’ll connect the finished website at launch. I’ll also need your approved imprint and privacy text.
